Being in Zeta Beta Tau means more than just living in a house with a group of guys; it means striving to help others in need. Our national philanthropy is called Get On the Ball. We roll a beach ball for an entire week in the middle of campus during Spring Quarter to raise awareness for the Moyer Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps children in distress. People have the chance to sign the ball as every signature represents a small amount donated to the Moyer Foundation.
We also pursue more hands-on activities that directly impact the community. We volunteer annually at the Seattle Jewish Community School gala dinner helping with their auction. We also volunteer with Seattle Works, Jewish Family Service, Hillel UW, and Nickelsville. Among the Greek system, we participate in many sorority philanthropy events, finishing in the top three of Sigma Kappa’s “King of the Castle” two years straight.
At ZBT we realize that we have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the community, and that it is our responsibility to make the world a better place.
